8th month in Geraldton

Where does all the time goes by???? I'm already in Geraldton for freaking 8 months guys!! 😱😱 I can't believe it. It feels like I've always been this place for so long it definitely felt like it was my home all along. I can't imagine the next 1 year and 4 months comes to end. 😭😭To tell you guys the truth I don't want to go back KK. I really love this place so much I'm working really hard to be able to stay here. I'll work hard to get the visa that I'm qualify to. Finger crossed!

I have been having fun meeting new people! I went to ping pong session with Nicole and my aunt. It was my first time playing ping pong but I'm getting hang of it! But I'm so used to badminton, I'm treating it as one of it. Keep smashing the ball over the other side. We all couldn't stop laughing and having lotsa fun that night. I wish I live nearby town and have a car! I would be joining lots of clubs and activity with friends and able to hang out whenever we want to! How I wish.

This year Valentine's Day falls on Tuesday which everyone were not particularly excited about. But for me I am very excited! As I'm working at the restaurant for such occasion. As soon as I entered the restaurant I felt the love is in the air! Nicole did an amazing job on the decoration! I love how simple and beautiful the decoration could lite up the atmosphere. Renee and me stick a love color paper on our clothes with our names on it to make it more lovely. It was quite embarrassing but we nailed it perfectly.

I have started class for 3 weeks now. I haven't did much on my assessment yet. I've been busy working, I got so addicted with working I can't stop. It felt so important for me to work. So I can use the money I've earn purposefully. My main idea was to earn money and travel as much. But also at the same time earn for my visa. I know its a bit hard to say if I'm able to get it but see how it goes. Everything is in God's plan. I will work hard in studies, work and visa! Not to mention also having fun! Going to Perth city on Easter week April, 3 and a half months left till UK bound! SO EXCITED TO TRAVEL.

Till then,
Cheers and God Bless!

Chap Goh Mei and Birthday dinner! 11.02.2017

I have never thought that I would ended up making a dishes for friends at the chinese restaurant I'm working. Somehow when I was talking to the chef I ended up saying I know how to make Hakka Kiu Nyuk. Which was actually gonna be my second time making it. The first attempt was a failed one as shouldn't add salt and put one less ingredient to begin with.

I've got the ingredient on Wednesday which was the day I told them that I knew how to make this dishes. So I took few of the restaurant's ingredient and brought it back home. Ready some of the ingredient at Friday since that's the only day I can ready the ingredient over night. Went full blast on Saturday morning to prepare the dishes. Get spark by the freaking oil, crying from cutting the shallots, stand for 3 hours in the kitchen. Just to prepare this dish was a lot of effort to start with.

So I was supposed to be working on Saturday night but my shift got cancel at the Indian restaurant. I was ready to head out but ended up returning to home and change to casual attire, as I was planning to go to beach for a walk. So when I arrived to the restaurant everyone asked me whether I could stay for dinner since it was Chap Goh Mei as well. I am reluctant to agree as I don't have transport back.

So after consulting with my Aunt I decided to ask if anyone could send me back after dinner. The most exciting part was Janice, being supportive and funny at the same time. I couldn't get over how funny and awkward it was for me to ask him whether he could send me home or not. With the help from Janice, he said yes. Being awkward and happy little girl at the same time. I couldn't ask for more. And so I am able to stayed and gave a surprise to Nicole yesterday night.

As so I was really early at the restaurant, I was helping out at the counter while I was waiting for dinner time. It didn't took long enough time actually. The others arrived soon enough to wait for surprise as well. The surprise was practically failed. First attempt, we thought Nicole was heading to the kitchen thinking the guys would come out from the kitchen to surprise her but she ended up going into the toilet. As soon as she went into the toilet the Birthday song came out! They quickly blew off the candle. HAHA All of us laugh our asses off, of being the first failed attempt to surprise her.

The second attempt was waiting for her to come out of the bathroom so we could surprise her again. But the guys was slow in putting the candle and the birthday song came out really slow. I was practically trying to get the guys out A.S.A.P but Nicole looked at me curiously while I was holding the door open half way. So she directly entered the kitchen. I should have ask her to stay there and wait for awhile. I'm bad at this kind of stuff. She did cry and touched by the surprise in the end. But everything happened way too fast I couldn't react accordingly.

So we had dinner together, enjoyed our night and lots of laughter. We took another picture together with the cake since we didn't do that when we surprised Nicole at that early moment. My face was practically in pain from smiling and laughing too much. I just couldn't contain myself for being so excited and happy at the same time.

Throughout the dinner I was being observant with his action as well as the other guy. There's a lot of expression I couldn't see because I couldn't react nor being in conscious self at the moment. Everything happened way too fast but I definitely enjoy being with them even though I wasn't very social on the table. As dinner ended we all went separate ways. We had a good night, he send me home and I was happy. I'm a happy princess 😍

So glad to meet this bunch of people in my short period of stay here! Definitely gonna work hard and stay here forever! This is the only beginning. There's more adventure and fun ahead with them!

Till then,
Cheers and God Bless.

January 2017 agenda

When the new year strike at 12am I am very excited to go for a new journey ahead. New adventure, new social life, oh not to mention its still holiday for the next 3 weeks before I start new term. I've been busy with work for the passed week to be honest. But I do keep some time off having fun with people I know. I get to meet new people too! That's a really good progress for me to start a new year!

I've been approaching this guy as you all can see how I rant things in previous post (half rant half blessing post πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚). BLESSING IN EVERY WAY I think I was really emotional when I wrote the post or maybe not. Depends on how you guys interpret it yourselves. Anyway its been fun for the past few weeks of all those lusting, exciting energy between us was fun but it all faded within a short period of time. It does hurt my feelings too. I was expecting more than anything else.

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY EVERYONE! Its a public holiday on the 26 January as they celebrate the joyous day. It falls on every 26th of January. It was scorching hot these days! It was crazy to tell you guys especially with the weather of 42 degree!!! πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘ Anyway lots of people at the beach. Stalls, food, water play, and awesome music on by the beach today. Drive through the beach and have a look today. Didn't get the chance to join my friends for beach day. Cause there's no public transportation on public holiday like seriously??? πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’

Anyway a bit of recap of what happened throughout the week of my absent post. My friend made lemon cheese mile crepes for all of us! I'm so happy to received it. Even back in KK its really popular to have mile crepes cake but I am still not a fan of it since the texture was a bit off for me. But nonetheless I shared it with my aunt.

Last few week I started to prepared ingredient for Hakka Kiu Nyuk! It was really pain in the ass to buy some of the ingredient cause it was freaking expensive?? AUD 30/KG for shallots!!!!!!! 😱😱😱 Which means RM90 for 1kg of shallots!!!! I could buy it for 10kg! I puke blood upon finding out the truth. So I made this on last Saturday as I'm gonna bring one to Aunties house for early CNY celebration on Sunday morning.

Can't blame the price when I was the one who craved for this home cooked food. Oh I missed the one my aunt and mom made! Still has a similar taste to it but can't compared back home! At least this was a success, minus the one less ingredient that I forgot to put πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜… First time made this so patted my back 😁😁😁 It took me 3 hours to prepared this pork dish!

I also made cookies after finished cooking the pork dish. The baking session was pretty easy but following ingredient exact from the internet was pretty a bad idea! They always put more sugar than recommended in a dessert recipe. Defo need to adjust the sugar recipe on my own when I'm baking not to mention I forgot to put SALT!!! THE MOST IMPORTANT INGREDIENT IN COOKIES πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘ I AM DISAPPOINTED IN MYSELF HAHAHAHAHA Turns out alright but a bit sweeter than normal cookies. HAHA

Dress up casually with both tied up bun. I got told off and act age appropriately. HAHAHA I am only channeling my inner child. That's what hair are there for! Make you look different HAHA Anyway changed back to pony tail and quickly get ready to visit one of Aunt's friend.

Sunday activity! Lotsa laughter and scrumptious food on the table! Oh so delicious meal on Sunday! Get to celebrate early Chinese New Year with them and received red packets too!!! AUD red packets by the way not Ringgit Malaysia πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Kinda happy tho.

So the next day after our lunch party at Aunt's house I joined my friends for dinner. Got invited by the lady boss to go over her house for their weekly gathering. He offered to lift me in town. We had a short date and lunch together at Thailand Deli restaurant. That was also one of my happiest date ever but it turns awkward for both of us the next two days. Or maybe it was all about me thinking too much about it. To tell you guys a truth I was hoping we progress into different level since both of us felt special (or maybe its only me one sided) and different with each other. But it all ended up nothing and turned to zero. Oh well I guessed we weren't meant to be together! Just be friends is fine. I just wanna have fun right now. Oh so boring life in Geraldton.

Family back home sent me few pictures of them having a reunion dinner! Seeing daddy, mommy and brother and others are alright made me so happy! But nonetheless they were having a scrumptious dinner with uncle! Purposely booked such big meal to celebrate CNY. My family went back to Sandakan as well to celebrate with aunty and uncle! Its great to see them the same as ever but sad to know they are all getting older πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”

Few days before CNY day, my aunt suggested to go out have lunch to celebrate a short CNY day. So on the second day of CNY we head to Burnt Barrels for lunch! It was humid week that all Louie the fly keep following us. We had scrumptious meal. Satisfying face after demolished all the food!

So I've started my school new semester on Tuesday 31 Jan. Which falls on the last day of January! Everything seems to pass by very fast! I can't quite catch the grasp of it. It felt just like yesterday I've flew to Aussie to start my new life here. And for some reason I've been here for 7 months straight. I have less than 1 and half years left to complete my diploma. I fell in love with Aussie lifestyle. I do love the relax and laid back lifestyle here. I enjoy the study, work and interacting with everyone that I knew. I will fulfill my dream to stay here forever! Finger crossed! πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

My focus now is not looking for relationship anymore. For the first time yes, I am looking for relationship here in Aussie but then I realized having fun without regrets is the main priority. Remember all the fun and adventurous life here is the main thing right now. I want to have fun first cause I might not be able to stay in Aussie longer than expected. Anyway all I do right now is to enjoy my life, I still have a long way to go before settle down and find the person who is meant to be with me. Just go with the flow, enjoy my life, make awesome memories, meet new people, study hard and work even harder! πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—

Till then,
Cheers and God Bless
